Invitation: 3hd Festival 2017 – Whatever You Thought, Think Again

This year’s edition of 3hd festival will prove you that things are not what they seem.

Yet again, the organizers of 3hd festival, Daniela Seitz and Anja Weigl (the minds behind the great parties Creamcake), challenge us to reevaluate our own beliefs and views. The third installment of the Berlin-based festival bears the slightly bratty know-it-all theme “Whatever You Thought, Think Again,” and by merging music with performance and visual art, it will encourage both the viewers and the actors to challenge the status quo and to employ new, radically innovative methods in commonly pursuing a better future – you may ask, what exactly is a “better” future anyway? Can it even be achieved now that everything seems to be going to hell? Well, perhaps you will find the answers to these questions—and many more you might have never even dared to ask—during the festival’s diverse program.

Spread out over four days, starting on Nov 22, art installations, concerts, performances, panels, and workshops will all explore new ways of tackling the contemporary problems related to issues of politics, building community, economic situation, and interpersonal communication, often drawing on personal struggle and experience. This year’s artist lineup includes Abyss X, AMET, Anja Kaiser, Anna Willert, City, Cleo Kempe Towers Queen, Colin Self, Farai, Fauna, Green Music, i.ruuu, Jenna Sutela, Johanna Odersky, Hengameh Yaghoobifarah, Lyra, M.E.S.H, Magdalena Bichler, Maria Skoula, Marta Forsberg, Neo Hülcker, Petit Singe, Prince Harvey, Robin Buckley, Rui Ho, Stellan Veloce, Stud1nt, Tabita Rezaire, and UCC Harlo. The festival will take place at HAU Hebbel am Ufer and OHM, and will extend its spatial reach to the realms of the world wide web. For more information about the program, visit the 3hd website.
